White Hill Stud – A state-of-the-art breeding stable in a romantic landscape
White Hill Stud is based in the North of England, in the beautiful and romantic Ribble Valley in Lancashire. It is a new state-of-the-art purpose built breeding facility owned by family Whittaker. The stunning design of the facility comes from the pen of Jennifer's husband and was built according to the wishes of the family.
White Hill Stud is a family run business dedicated to training and breeding modern dressage and event horses of the highest quality. The White Hill Stud team has a selective breeding program which aims to produce horses with exceptional rideability, soundness and temperament.
Jennifer Whittaker has had a love of horses all her life and has owned horses for 12 years. Currently she has 30 horses at the stud.
“We have a 4 year old AES licensed stallion by Dreamboy who is available for stud. He is trained and competed by the stud manager, Carrie Bosworth. He's currently competing at Novice level and will be attending stallion shows in the UK in 2017. The duo are trained by International FEI 5* judge Isobel Wessels and Silvia Schorn. Than is there Alicante Valley who is trained up to PSG level and competed by National Champion Jessica Roisin Dunn.”, Jennifer reports.
They have a number of schoolmasters including Springfield who is trained to Intermédiaire I and Jennifer's favourite horse and Jennifer’s mother's horse Billy who has competed BSJA Foxhunter.
There are 10 broodmares 9 dressage bred and one event mare, all in foal, four dressage bred foals, also a selection of dressage and event youngsters in training and last but not least Harry, the pony of Jennifer’s daughter.
21st Century Horse was approached for the fit out of the stable buildings and indoor riding school. “We supplied and installed 20 Röwer & Rüb ‘Hannover’ Fronts with electro polished stainless steel grills, as well as the bamboo cladding of the back walls of the boxes, windows, doors and a beautiful powder coated 15m round arena with laminated trusses. Through SeBo Interiors we also fitted out two tack rooms.”, said Jamie Bennett, Commercial Director of 21st Century Horse.
